Also known as “grass tree”, Xanthorhea grow only in Australia. The slowest growing of its 28 species can live to 600 years, only growing around one metre every 100 years. Its striking flowering stalk grows around 3cm a day and reaches to over 3 metres. Grass trees love a sunny spot in well-drained soil.
