Indoor plants at the place of work increase productivity
Up until recently there was no scientific proof of
this assumption, but now the assumption has been supported
by a study carried out by the Washington State University
. Ever since urbanisation, we spend more time indoors
- over 90 percent - for example in the office, at home
and in the car. The indoor climate is of eminent importance
for our health and our well-being. Beyond this, when
our work becomes technically more complex, the amount
of illnesses caused by stress increases. Due to this
fact it is important and sensible to study the relationship
between plants and the well-being of humans.

Indoor plants decrease work place absenteeism
A live study conducted in Norway found that introducing
plants to the workplace decreases absenteeism from
15% to 5%. It also found that placing a plant near
a worker or two could save a company upto 10% of a
persons salary. Consider a $50,000 annual income, thats
$5000, when you put it up like that, the solution is
clear.

Indoor plants increase work place ergonomics
A good indoor climate in the workplace is a prerequisite
for achieving optimum performance from staff. In many
workplaces the air is too dry and contains harmful substances
which can cause health problems. Common complaints are
a dry throat, headache, dizziness, fatigue, irritated
eyes, airways and skin, and coughing.
Installing air-purifying
plants can significantly reduce these health complaints.
Plants put moisture into the air, absorb heat and
noise, and can absorb and breakdown harmful substances.
